Terms and Conditions

While you wait for the sale, please note the following terms and conditions for our shop.

TUBER GUARANTEE: We guarantee your dahlia tubers will be true to ID and arrive in the mail with at least one eye and a healthy tuber body.

REFUND POLICIES: Please inspect your tubers upon arrival and contact us at microflowerfarm@gmail.com within 7 days of your order arriving if you have any concerns about your tubers. Please include photos of the problems that you see, so we can best help you diagnose and resolve any issues. Once the 7 days have passed, you accept full responsibility for your tubers.

We do not refund for damage due to bad weather, rot after planting, viruses, pests, poor field conditions, negligence or plant performance.

VIRUS PREVENTION: Our tubers and fields are inspected and approved by the Washington Department of Agriculture. We aggressively cull the field of any plants showing visible signs of illness during the growing season, sanitize cutting tools between plants and tuber clumps and use several organic methods to keep pests controlled. That being said, by purchasing you accept the fact that dahlias sometimes get sick, just like any other plant, and virus is not 100% avoidable.

DAHLIA TUBER SHIPPING: All orders are shipped using USPS. Unfortunately, we can only ship within the USA. Tubers will ship in April once temperatures no longer drop below freezing in your region. We do not offer early shipping. You will receive a notification once your order has been pulled and packaged. We process thousands of orders each season, so please be patient! If it's still April and you haven't received a notification, we are still in the process of shipping and you'll get it soon!

Shipping Cost: Shipping Cost is $17.50 flat rate for your order. If you use the same email address and mailing address on multiple orders, we will automatically discount the shipping price for you on each subsequent order and combine them. You will see this discount reflected before you checkout. We will NOT retroactively combine them if you choose to use a different email/addresses for multiple orders.

NO CART HOLDS: Your order is only confirmed once you checkout and receive an order confirmation number and email. We do not accommodate cart holds.

LIMITS: We are limiting certain varieties to ensure more people can grow some of the rarer dahlias! This means a limit PER household, not per person. If we suspect that you are using family members, friends or other means to get around this limit, all your orders will be subject to cancellation and a full refund.

SUBSTITUTIONS: We do not offer substitutions due to stock loss. If something unexpected happens with storage between your order and shipping, we will refund you the price of the tuber(s).

REPLACEMENTS: Due to logistics, we do not offer replacement tubers. If a refund is warranted, we will refund the full purchase price.

CANCELLATIONS: We allow cancellations within 2 weeks of when the order was placed but all cancelled orders are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

NOTIFICATIONS & SHIPPING ADDRESS: Entering the correct email and the correct shipping address is your responsibility. Shipping notifications are automatically sent to whatever email is used in checkout when your order is pulled and shipped. If that address is not correct, you won't be able to receive that notification. Orders are also sent to the shipping address entered at the time of the order and we can't tell on our end if that is the correct address or not. Please ensure it is correct before ordering.

SHIPPING DELAYS OR LOST PACKAGES: Once items leave our farm, we have no control on how long the shipping service might take or if they lose a package once it leaves our care. In the case of a lost package, please reach out to USPS for help.

INAPPROPRIATE CONDUCT: As a farm, we take our customer service very seriously.  We strive to treat every customer with respect and kindness and request that this is returned. If an email request or direct message from a customer contains threats, verbal abuse, or demeaning language we reserve the right to refuse service in the future.

TRADEMARKS: We carry KA® varieties that have a trademark attached to the name. As a grower this means that we have signed a license agreement where we remit a percentage of every sale of those varieties back to the hybridizer to compensate her for the years of work she did in creating these gorgeous varieties. What does this mean for you as a customer?

  • If you grow as a hobby, a gardener and trade or give away your extra tubers or cuttings or sell cut flowers, nothing has changed for you. Keep doing whatever you’ve been doing.

  • If you want to sell the tubers and/or cuttings of KA® varieties that carry a trademark, you will need a license from the hybridizer in order to use the trademarked name.  This is easy to apply for, no matter how few or many you want to grow. We encourage everyone interested to read the actual information directly at the hybridizer’s website which you can find here. If you have specific questions for me, I’m happy to answer them through email at microflowerfarm@gmail.com.
